Angels drift above a divided Berlin, listening in on the thoughts, fears and longings of its people. They are invisible, eternal and untouchable. When one of them falls for a lonely trapeze artist, he begins to long for everything he has never had: taste, touch, color and time. Shot by the legendary Henri Alekan in shimmering black and white that blooms into color, Wenders’ poetic masterpiece won Best Director at Cannes and remains one of the most beautiful love letters ever written to a city.
