Brazil, 1977, at the height of the military dictatorship. Marcelo, a technology expert in his early forties, flees a troubled past and arrives in Recife during Carnival week, hoping to reunite with his young son and start a new life. But the vibrant, sun-drenched city is far from the refuge he sought, and he soon realizes he is being watched.

A stylish, darkly funny political thriller from Kleber Mendonça Filho (Aquarius, Bacurau), starring Wagner Moura (Narcos). Winner of Best Director and Best Actor at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
