England, late 16th century. William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes are raising their children in Stratford, while he spends long periods in London trying to establish himself as a playwright. When tragedy strikes and their 11-year-old son Hamnet dies, their lives and marriage are changed forever.

Out of grief and loss emerges one of the greatest plays in the history of theatre - Hamlet. Adapted from Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel, directed by Chloé Zhao and starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal.
